Description
Suluova Biogas Energy is a biogas-to-energy project that generates renewable energy by capturing biogas from animal manure -via anaerobic digestion- and utilizing it to produce thermal and electric energy through biogas systems. The proposed project activity reduces greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions mainly by preventing GHG emissions, methane in particular, from being emitted directly to the atmosphere from animal manure that would be otherwise left to decay in anaerobic conditions; replacing the electricity that would have otherwise been generated by the national grid which is heavily dependent on fossil-fuel-based resources, through generating renewable energy and feeding it to the grid.
