BEUAS ANIMAL MANURE METHANE RECOVERY AND UTILIZATION PLANT

BEUAS Animal Manure Methane Recovery and Utilization Plant (hereafter referred to as the project) is a greenfield biogas-to-energy project that aims to captures biogas from animal manure, cattle manure in particular, -via anaerobic digestion- and utilizes it to generate electricity through gas engines. The animal manure is collected from the neighboring animal farms with special trucks and transferred to the biogas plant. The electricity generated by the installed biogas engines with the capacity of 2.750 Mwm/2.668 Mwe is not only supplied to the national grid, but also used as auxiliary/internal consumption required for the plant to function. The project is being implemented by BEÜAŞ Elektrik Üretim Anonim Şirketi, as the project owner, Ceylanpınar district, Sanlıurfa province, in Turkey. The start date of the project and of the first crediting period is determined as October 30, 2018.
