The IE-TRAM Project is the first 100% electric Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system in southeastern Mexico, implemented in Mérida, Yucatán. This project aims to transform urban mobility by integrating modern technology with a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. It contributes to the modernization of public transport by offering a cleaner, more efficient, and accessible mobility option. With a network spanning over 129 km across Mérida, Kanasín, Umán, Teya, and La Plancha Park, and a fleet of 32 fully electric buses, IE-TRAM provides reliable service to more than 200,000 users in both urban and suburban areas. The system is also integrated with other modes of transport, supporting a more connected and sustainable mobility model.
