Description
The Orinoco 2 P2 project is a climate change mitigation initiative focused on reducing emissions from deforestation, forest degradation and land use change in the Colombian Orinoquia. The project implements forest conservation activities and promotes the sustainable use of savannahs through economic incentives derived from the sale of carbon certificates. The Cataruben Foundation leads the project with a strategic partner and landowners as key participants. This collaboration maximizes environmental and social benefits, strengthens the sustainable management of ecosystems and contributes to mitigating climate change.
