Description

Located in Argentina’s Selva Paranaense, the Aponapó Rainforest Reserve is a conservation benchmark within the buffer zone of UNESCO’s Yabotí Biosphere Reserve. The Initiative will deliver net biodiversity gains through a comprehensive approach that integrates preservation, ecological restoration, and the sustainable use of natural resources. These three interconnected pillars aim to enhance ecosystem resilience, foster sustainable community development, and secure long-term biodiversity conservation. Aligned with 14 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, the Initiative aspires to become a leading example for Latin America and the Caribbean—serving as a Nature-based Solution and a replicable model for biocredit generation.
