The Resguardo Indígena Llanos del Yarí – Yaguara II, located between the municipalities of Calamar (Guaviare), La Macarena (Meta) and San Vicente del Caguán (Caquetá), was established in 1995 through INCORA Resolution No. 10 and covers 146,500 hectares inhabited by the Pijao, Tucano, and Piratapuyo communities. This territory, situated in the transition zone between the Orinoquía and the Amazon, holds high ecological value with 127,000 hectares of forest, important water sources, and ecological connectivity with the Sierra de la Macarena and Serranía de Chiribiquete National Parks. The community has undertaken processes of territorial stewardship and socio-ecological restoration, strengthening the Indigenous Guard and local governance. The community defined that the REDD+ activities would focus on 91,344 hectares of native forest out of the 127,000 located within their territory, through the strengthening of territorial governance, the development of sustainable productive activities,
